is this licensed?
All legal!!
why do all this secret location stuff then? always wondered why legal events do this, I assume to make it sound like a free party?
Bro, firstly, how we promote our parties is a matter for us, it’s an old skool event, vibe, music etc. The original warehouse events were promoted in this way. Secondly licensed and legal are two different matters.

hmm…
Rave plan is intercepted (From Chelmsford Weekly News)
dudes – its not 1990 any more….. some of the younger folk tried to warn you as well! today the feds and politicians are our age too and they are the people what studied/worked hard whilst we partied (or stopped partying before it affected their careers/studies too much), “dropped back in” to the system and got mocked for it, now they are taking their revenge..

odd isnt it I mean they only advertised it all over places renound for being moniterd by the OB and told people it was in Essex (where I do believe they have never had any rave problems and certainly never cracked down on them).
*sarcasm overload* man I am a grumpy git today
Better to be grumpy and sensible than foolhardy and stubborn (which is a big problem with some of the people across the Stour). At least no one got hurt, arrested or lost equipment..

This was a legal event.
doesnt sound like it from the media report
unless by some bizzare coincidence a legal and unlicensed event happened at exactly the same time, what must have happened is that they simply ignored the TENS or PEL requirements and just thought because someone gave them permission to use the building its OK.
This isn’t the case.
As soon as one person complains or the feds think there is a risk of any sort of crime/disorder or the Council/Fire Brigade/NHS think there is a health and safety risk, the event can be stopped. thats how all the hall parties got locked off as they were either over capacity or not licensed for the event (people putting on events in halls often need to take out a separate TENS)
There is already a precedent in East Anglia that many dance music based nights are now no better for violence, trouble, and extra work for the NHS than townie venues (this I have seen with my own eyes) so there isn’t any “human rights” get out for being allowed to have a party or those in power being prepared to turn a blind eye as they caused “less hassle and costs”.
Another suspicious thing is that the phone number also appears to belong to a private security agency in SW England.
Even this isn’t full on tinfoil ‘at stuff – mobile numbers get re-issued and just because someone does a bit of detective agency /surveillance work doesn’t automatically make them on the side of the feds – private security firms hire out door staff for clubs and parties
However if anyone really went to all the trouble to set up a “fake” rave 200 miles away and harvest info (presumably to pass on to the Police) and even pay to subscribe to here (when there already is a very effective anti-rave squad in this area) that must mean ravers have really started to piss off those who own buildings etc and they are taking matters into their own hands…
perhaps if any DJ’s from this area would like to clarify what was going on here and whether they really were booked to play?
