I have voted lib dem in the past. I haven’t seen any of the parties policies this time so i’m unsure who to vote for. I want to vote but not vote the wrong party. What parties are you voting for? and does anyone know the policies at all?
i was going to vote
but they announced the election yesterday
and the dealine to register was march 11th
and no-one told me
so now i can’t vote
democracy my ass
:weee:
no, really
my ass is totally democratic
in the ideal sense
and the dealine to register was march 11th

Er, maybe you should register now – even though you can’t vote in this election, you’ll be able to vote in the next.
As for policies it, all seems to be the same shit they’re shovelling, but with different shovels (I don’t know if that’s a real phrase, but it seemed to suit the sentence very well).
I’ve had leaflets through my door from the 3 main parties (as well as one from UKIP – those funny chaps), and I have read each one thoroughly.
Labour’s speaks with a lot of political jargon, making it quite hard for the common person to understand what they are talking about and making it even harder to give a shit.
The one from the Conservatives spends most of its time slagging off the other parties, with a bonus paragraph telling us how closing our borders to people who are in fear of their lives and who are willing to do the jobs which no-one else in the country wants to do is NOT racism(?).
The one from Lib-Dems is quite a nice colour and it’s made on recycled paper.
I know that this may not be the most concise view of policies, but it’s the best I can do I’m afraid…
peace
yeh i wouldn’t mind the option to vote in this one!
i lived abroad for years so i haven’t been voting here since the early 90’s
My local authority has a duty to send voter registration forms to it’s elidgable tax paying residents. but they have failed to do so, and the date is non-negotiable :you_smart
if the tories get in i might emigrate again
i might if labour get in again, come to that.
if i had been able to vote I would have voted lib dem, but only as a tactical vote to get rid of ben bradshaw (lab) then get on his replacements case to act as strong opposition to the current thatcher-with-a-bigger-majority government
it’s scary how labour are now a centre right party :sick_toot
tony certainly united the left… by making it into the right :bad_idea:

I certainly wont be partaking in the scam. I wont be voting in this sham of a democracy. Polititians are highly paid liars and scapegoats. our government never evolved for us and its now just a way of controlling us and misting the real power, its very convenient for the powers that be, they control it like “yes minister” and we get to say hes a cunt and then we get a choice of several cunts to replace them. We are told that democracy is the best thing since slice bread, and then we use it to vote in a leader, its double think and double talk. I watched the debate on the equality bill described as the most important issue that all parties are keen to discuss. In addition, there were only 12 people in the House of Commons. If they really wanted to do something about equality, they would do something about the appalling situation we live in as a nation in regards to the basic need of somewhere to live and the crime of making money out of a situation that is a legacy from conquest and the enslaving of our nation.
I wont be voting I would rather take up silly dancing with a nolly ho and a nolly o
Did anyone else find yesterday’s report on the news the IRA could be planning an attack mightly amusing?! :you_smart
i think even if you dont vote, going to the ballot and spoiling your paper is well worthwhile. the govt bangs on about voter apathy, but i recon a lot of people dont vote because like elraveon they think its bullshit. which it is.
but i also recon that this system is all we have at the moment. its shite, but its all we got. i really want to change it, but am frustrated by the seeming impossibility of this task without boodshed, and i’m pretty sure that taking on the british government militarily would be a bastard of a mission.
as far as i can work out, money=power, so i would like to be involved in summat with a lot of funds and clout, to be able to make some voices heard which i think arent being listened to eneough (like the geez who made that “the remembering” film, and all the hippys and space cadets and what ever…rantyrantyrantrabt
what am i on about?
IM VOTING GREEN. there. simple. :weee:
yep, trot out the old foes to remind everyone what a good job big daddy gov is doin of protecting us all… :ar15:
personally i find the whole northern ireland process fucking hilarious as i have a southern irish republican catholic mother and a northern irish protestant dad. oh the japes. dont get me started.

If you enter the system to do anything about it, it will swallow you up or spit you out.
If you try to fight it with conventional methods, you will fail even if you won.
First you must know your enemy, and that IMO is humans acting like pack or herd animals.
What can you do, don’t act like a pack or herd animal, it does not become humans and is extremely dangerous.
Don’t lead or be led except to lead by example.
some people dont want to have to think about stuff, so they look to others to do it for them. i dont think thats ever gonna change. if you free everyone, most people will make some limitations for themselves. i dont think that most people are changable, because they’d never open their mind to the possibility of change.
i think thatit is the pack animal tendancy that is useful. its much easier leading a mob than justifying a philosophical point of veiw to hundreds of thousands of people. democracy could never work as an extreme, there wouldnt be anyone left to do normal stuff if everyone was running the country. there has to be the leaders and the lead (at least at first).
i have faith in the idals of social anarchism, but in order for everyone to take respnsibility for their actions, everyone must be financially equal and well educated. no society has acheived this so far according to western history, so i dont know whether these ideals are justr ideals or if utopia is a real possibility. (obviously its not by definition, but y get me?)
I wont be voting for Labour or Tories. Lib Dem maybe but probalby green or another party that doesn’t stand a chance of getting in to power. i feel by not voting conservative or labour shows them that more & more people want change. If you don’t vote then you lose the right to have a say & show your opinion. i disagree with many of these parties policies and could talk all day about the bullshit they spurt and about them controlling and regulating our lives. but at the end of the day some one HAS to win regardless of whether we like it or not so you may aswell have your say.
however every day i’m losing more and more confidence with the UK government alltogether. It seems they are out there to just screw people over.

well you dont get me. either I wasnt very clear or you need me to write a book 😉 I never siad you couldnt vote a repersentitive as we do but there is no need for them to vote a leader, as it is everything is done with commities they only need a chairman, we dont need a leader its that mentality that needs to change if want to be more than a bunch of animals led for the aims of the top dog.
if you want to perpetuate this system then of course we will never acchieve anything near equality
It doesn’t really matter who’s in power-they’re all the same…but if the Monster Ravin Looney Lot got in…
they’re fascists hiding behind a gimmik :bitter:
they (monster raving looneies) put and end to fantazia gigs at westpoint, exeter in 1992
when they had the sidmouth seat on devon county council
fascist assholes
and that bloke was riding a unicycle and wearing an elephant trunk to get elected :exclamati
(and promoting animal passprts…a brilliant idea)
so you’re right
it doesnt matter who’s in power. they’re all the same
power hoingry people must be fascist by their very nature
so who should i vote for?
i’m gonna mark me X next to whoever is most likely to get rid of the local labour party line asshole
…political opposition? wasn’t that the premise of a functional democracy?…
