sometimes they hide and make you think they’ve gone, then come at you when least expected.
do you rekon they can plot?
yeah!
the hover flies that impersonate wasps may look a little bit like wasps but dont have the same menacing movements or intimidating behaviour aspects.
makes me think wasps have personalities and plot to threaten all humans
… im going to sleep with a can of ”zap” under my pillow from now until the winter months when the little bastards go to sleep!!
I’m allergic to the fuckers, if they sting me its a blue light journey to the nearest Emergency Department :yakk:
Therefore I have a zero tolerance policy to wasps, they are killed on sight the moment they become a threat…
thankfully I only encountered two last year (they were big ones, although by the time the chemicals had got to them the had shrunk quite a bit).
heres a strange fact I learned, some wasp sprays are based on the same chemicals found in insect stings, so when you kill a wasp you are in fact stinging it…
wasps are very intelligent for their size and have defined social structures…

:laugh_at:
the reaction I get is that allergic shock/swelling reaction – some of my family (but not all) have this problem as well…
around now the queens will be out, looking for places to nest.
