the definition of atheism is through absence of belief – we share only 1 absence in common, much like many [mass] religious supporters share the absense of a brain(generalisation, mainly biased toward christianity)
university courses dont teach you life skills – they teach analysis/information etcetera skills. Without knowing a motive behind the publishing of this point, i am unable to provide a counter argument which is what i thrive on.

as far as I know Pullman set about to deconstruct CW Lewis’ idea of God who comes accross as a vengeful bully. I dont think it was meant to be completely atheistic as such.
