Any tips on how to improve performance and speed up computers any1??
My internet is supposed to run at 2.2Mbps but somtimes takes ages just to load a web page!

May see, stupid but are you running any p2p like bit torrent or soulseek.

If you are limit your upload speed to about 10-20kb/s as you’re upload speed is far slower than you DL on you’re line. If its uncapped it means that your PC can’t send requests for data and it vastly slows down your internet.

it’s also worth mentioning that some websites are slow anyway. No matter how fast your connection speed and computer is you are still relying on the sites server.

You might check for spyware using spybot: http://www.safer-networking.org/. And make sure you keep updating your antivirus software and you’re running regular scans…

Nah got nothin like that, its not all the time anyway, just annoying when your siting there staring at the load bar!
Anyone else reckon packard bell are crap?

Make sure u dont have any malicious programs running on your pc this is what you SHOULD use really as imo and a lot of others these programs are the best.

Spybot Search&Destroy
Adaware Se
Ewido

and make sure your not using any of the Norton/symnatec nonsense get yourself a good FREE anti-virus like avast http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html although avg is also good.

i run lots of p2p and torrent and i rarely get virus’ and its things like keyloggers and other malware that really slow down your pc/internet connection times.

also if you are using ie scrap it and use mozilla firefox http://www.firefox.org.uk/ and pm me and i will give you some naughty tweaking tips to speed it up 🙂
