There is some justification to your annoyance but believe me, there are worse examples.
People have actually committed suicide en masse after listening to Dames’ show (back in the Hale-Bopp days, gets quite a write up in the book version of The Men Who Stare At Goats).
Who was the nobber in that case, the guy who goes on the show or the group that decides it’s time to hitchhike on the alien spaceship by committing suicide, as a result of listening to the show?
Probably both. Anyway, it’s freed up a bit of pressure on the gene pool. There is always a silver lining.
