  • Young people have been lied to, simple, they were told that; vote and you get change and the promise was free education and social security, the first that happen was a big jump in university taxes then big cut back on the public service..and then anger. I am no einstein but I saw this in the horrizon, GL have mentioned it all they way… The big Q now is; WHERE DO U GO FROM HERE? when the streets are on fire and all people can come up with is more violence as a solution…. It is a time to settle down and think a bit this aint easy… 🙁

You can’t let the scum get away with ruining peoples lives. Doesn’t matter who you’re defending your homes with, what ideals they follow, if everyone is united by a common cause then fair fucking play.

    Then I say Riot NOW!

you see we can get it sorted by violence…that sends out big signal that what ever you do just have the biggest gun and all will be alright…Fuck THAT!

Sinner, these riots are not political, This is mindless opportunistic thieving. It is mate, this isn’t about politics at all.

Thats what you are told…. You are all so happy now in the uk? do not think so…

No mate, THEY are rioting. Us, normal citizens, are standing shoulder to shoulder and defending our homes, neighbours and communities. No rioting, Just defending.

Would I stand there and watch people run amok, burning shit around me and do nothing???? Fuck that mate!!!!

You’re not even from the UK mate, how do you know what the public mood is????????????

You are all going to be on that island afterwards. Think about that, please.

Don’t think I’m slagging you off though Sinner, this issue angers me beyond belief. I love this country and hate seeing it be dragged through the mud by a bunch of stupid c**ts. Yeah life is hard but you just gotta get on with it, not burn shit down and take what isn’t yours. 🙁

Unfortunately no one in this country is actually united like in 1980s Europe or even the UK then.

This riot is everyone fighting each other now. The rioters themselves have been seen breaking into factions and beating each other up over the consumer goods. Others haven’t even been nicking the businesses goods, they have just been destroying them on the street. The racial groups have been fighting each other too. EDL and hard right groups are now on the streets stirring things up so cops now have to deal with them to protect others.

Both the cops and the left wing media (who don’t always agree) have said that what they have noticed is none of the usual student protestors or anarchists or eco-protestors are involved, and both cops and media have terabytes of intelligence data on them. Riots in some areas may be caused by political problems but the young people now involved have given up trying anything positive and are just trying to destroy others simply because they have slightly more than them and they have now lost their support even from their own age groups.

Also England (the Scottish leader has already pointed out that there hasn’t been the same problem in Scotland despite the same social issues) isn’t all big cities. Many areas are perfectly safe and have had no trouble at all.

it could result in a better system eventually, or we could have a hard government like Singapore. But often when there are polls when folk ask “who is happiest in their country?” – two countries often are at the top. One is Denmark – the other is Singapore.

It could go either way, but it is up to the English people to decide.

It not just a UK problem…its here as well, the gangs, unrest, fear etc but we had some big scale riots 4 years back that took some of the steam off…but things are a bit different here still. We still have consensus that sez take care of all, but we are up against forces that says the same as your goverment. but for now we have the peace.

Once it’s all died down then we’ll examine why it’s kicked off. right now though it’s all about protecting family, friends, neighbours and communities. It’s stuff like this that makes me wish I was a cop. might have to clean up my act and sort that out soon methinks.

No, you want to take care of what’s dear for you and I thinks thats ok, all I want is that we all should think beyond this current situation and start solve things in way that will include all.

Malaya also had many social problems as well but the consensus after the riots was the people decided to have social security but also strong government and strong religious groups.

BTW Singapore was part of Malaya until the 1960s then it split off as a concession to the Chinese – who were given that bit and the rest became Malaysia – but both are relatively multicultural.

Initially SG were socialists like mainland China but went to a hard authoritarian government – but they do have still socialist things like free education, healthcare and social housing. However, for those who are prepared to obey and follow the many rules (they even regulate what breed of pet dog you may own!) life is well provided for, and it is one of the most prosperous SE Asian nations. Malaysia is a bit more sketchy in parts (and some of it is still jungle!) but its still not that bad a place to live in.

The UK, especially with its current population distribution amd its cultural history is a lot more like these Asian countries in its outlook than Europe TBH. it is also as densley populated as Pakistan and the Phillipines, which is another big difference.

There are to be fair still a lot of public sector benefits but they have to be shared out amongst 71 million people which is a lot. I don’t think the current govt is at all going about this the correct way – but there was a fair election and they just about scraped into power.
