i can see a lot of phone calls and other network traffic generated by cats and dogs if these devices are left unattended in houses with pets :laugh_at:
Apparently I might even be eligible now for IEEE membership (I didn’t think I was brainy enough as I dropped out of University but I have over 20 years experience in electronics and computing, the last 10 years in more senior rôles), its cheaper than the British Computer Society and covers more of the fields I work in as I can be dealing with anything from strong voltage distribution to analogue/digital electronics as well as just desktop computers
One of my friends works at British Telecom research and there is a big RSPCA backed animal sanctuary nearby (where she is often taking the abandoned animals that folk seem to leave on her doorstep); it would be perfect for the research (we would need to check with the vets and zoologists as we don’t want to create a situation where cats and dogs are also staying in front of screens instead of getting their outdoor exercise!)
