im a jedi anyway so its all irrellevant

Can I just do what I want for the next 60ish years, then when I’m half dead say a quick prayer just in case and then i’ll be OK right?
Thats how it works I think.

OK….I’m amazed at all the trouble you’re taking to bash Christianity! WHY does it upset you so much???? I COULD go through ALL those quotes and refute them….on and on ad nauseum…..but you are already dead- set that I am wrong and stupid and haven’t read the Bible…which I HAVE btw, several times. You keep quoting things out of context and jumping on every word I say, and taking it all the wrong way. It really breaks my heart. Let me just clear up a few things….

Jesus does NOT condone slavery today! Some things in the Bible HAVE to be taken IN CONTEXT – that is NOT picking and choosing! It is realizing that the customs of Isreal etc. at that te different from today – just as much as England in Jane Austen’s time was quite different from today. When I say picking and choosing, it means quoting a bit of the OT here, the NT here, in some places totally ignoring what is said in the verser before and after.

I DO NOT HATE PEOPLE!!!! I hate SIN! There is a difference!!!!

And repentance is TRULY being sorry and TURNING COMPLETELY FROM SIN….not just an offhand – oh ,sorry, and then do it again.

I am not an ‘idiot’, or ‘white trash’ or any of these other things……

Please – if you wish to debate specific verses, can you ask me one at a time? This is getting overwhelming!

so what your saing is god’s ideals change with the times?
it was ok for slavery back then .. but not now?
    god changed his mind?
the ten comandments are subject to change with out any prior warning?
i didn’t sign up for any of this shit
    i want my monny back!!!!

No – God doesn’t change – He is the same always. It’s the WORLD that does. In the Bible, God is not explicitly saying He condones slavery….but it was very much a part of culture/way of life, so naturally it would deal with the way slaves should act and also their masters……now that slavery is abolished we can read it as pertaining to workers and bosses. The Word of God is alive and useful for every situation.

The 10 Commandments do NOT change – that is the Law.
