please go away. im so bored of this. if you were a jehovahs witness i would have booted you out of my house a long time ago. not that id have let you in, in the first place tho.
Sometimes actions speak louder than words. People who choose to have an abortion have made a very difficult decision and are often going through a traumatic time when they see you. Whether you are shouting with plackards or standing still praying silently your actions will have the same effect.
Fair enough its your decision and you are (i think) doing it with good intentions…i just personally think it is wrong, unfairly judgmental (let he without the sin cast the first stone) and i wouldnt do it.
Also, i do think some peoples responses on here are a little harsh but as they say ‘you started it’. Religion is an issue of faith not logic…ive never had a devine moment and dont see how you quoting the bible at me on a forum is going to induce it. Maybe god is trying to get all modern on our asses.
Then WHY are you in this part of the forum????? I have no right to speak about my faith?????
sorry that was NOT meant for ellie…for the one b4 her!
Thank you ellie for your consideration…..I won’t get into why it’s not being judgmental on here tho….. I’ll deal with stuff on chat
i’d prefer to hear your response on here – mainly because im about to go out!
i dont see why you cant talk on the forum…as you say people can always ignore it. heck i’ll ignore you soon probably :crazy_diz. just try and keep it to one or two threads at a time i recommend!
obviously if the mods disagree with me then its a different case.
why are you here? could you not be doing something better with your time, like volunteering in your home area, helping the homeless, collecting for charity, cleaning up your neighbourhood etc. you are achieving nothing by being here and wasting your time when you could actually be doing some good for people in your area. Surely help those closest to you before trying to convert others miles away over the internet.
I know, I miss him. At least had some evidence for his wacky ideas.

:laugh_at::laugh_at:
funny….nope I have no clue who that is!
One thing and I’m done as far as this debate is concerned…..
I did not mean to imply that the Bound For Life people BLOCK the clinics in any way…..most times they are not even ON the property, but nearby in an alley. There are VERY STRICT RULES everyone HAS to abide by – you CANNOT PHYSICALLY interact with ANYONE while there. I fully agree that PREVENTING a woman from entering or blocking the entrance etc. is WRONG.
Obviously my choice of words was poor (another reason why I prefer to refer to books) – instead of influence I SHOULD have said ‘physically prevent’.
And yes the women are hurting….we realize that. WE just believe that the baby has a right to life – the woman can find counseling and give the baby up for adoption, to people like Chris and I, who are not able to have children.
OK, I’m off the ‘soapbox’…….you’re right – this is turning into a pointless ‘pissing match’:hopeless:
under British law the moment the actions of any protestor intimidate the lawful users of a service or their workers the cops have the right and duty to intervene to protect those people.
it doesn’t matter if its against an abortion clinic, people chaining themselves to the atomic power station, or trying to stop the business of a company they view to be trashing the environment. The cops turn up and they decide how far away the protestors are entitled to be (a certain level of protest is still lawful here). Even being within a certain radius of the clinic may be viewed as being intimidated. All it takes is for one service user to call 999 (like 911) and say they are being intimidated and the cops will be there. Its the same way unlicensed rave parties in fields are closed down.
also, before a girl has an abortion in this country she is often advised by the NHS professionals of all potential options including bringing the child to term and offering it up for adoption.
For me it makes no difference really whether they block or stand nearby – clearly they are standing in a place where those going for an abortion can see them. Whether it is emotional blackmail or physical restraint it makes no difference to me.
I understand that it is a very emotive issue but i dont think there is any clear answer about whether abortion is right or wrong. I can’t see how anyone has any right to intervene in what option people choose.
If god does disagree with abortion/homosexuality/sex before marriage etc then he can do what he likes when people die. If there is no god then my opinion is no more valid than the next person. In the meantime people just have to make the right decision for themself – and i wont bully them either way.
Have i converted you yet!!??
