yeah the distance I gave wasn’t exact but your conversion was
Yeah, i kind of hate imperial measurements.
As does everyone else that been measuring in metric for well over 100 years. It baffles me why America is one of the only countries in the world that is forced to be taught even though it will never be much use if you want to study further you then have 2 learn to use a whole differnt system. A far simpler and well defined system yes but you’ve still been taught a far more strange and comples system.
In school over here we spent next to no time with imperial measurement other than to learn how to convert between the 2 incase god forbid we end up stuck in america 1 day.
I mean I can go between the two, but you’d be suprised how many non college educated Americans or not educated in science college grads don’t have the faintest fucking clue. Its embarssing.
I honestly can’t see any good reason why they can’t be like everybody else at least when it comes to measuring things.
I think they should start giving the weather in degrees kelvin.
Its a point of pride with being American and just some general contrarian bullshit.
Kelvin is the scale that is the most logical but is baSically cenetigrade but with the zero point beginning ar absolute zero. I think the current centigrade scale is more relevant to peoples lives and does have a sensible, testable scale that people can test it to be accourate (0 and 100c)
Obviously Kelvin is just for science and Celcius make sense for the layman, but just once it’d be cool to here and its is 300 degrees today and people start wigging out even though 300 K is just 27 C.
You people choose to work in fareheit so the chance you’ll be switching to kelvin ir remote.
Soooooooooooooo was this place as busy as this while I was gone or is this just since I revealed I was tryptameanie?

no shit, it’d be a cool april fools joke though
Think it would just confuse most.. Probably sit there think who the fuck is kelvin and why should we change? Sounds a lot more confusing that farenheit.

I have no idea if NYC is the most corrupt but I bet it’s being hoitly contested by many other places in the US.
