ah, that explains how this got through, its a public access channel where they may still be using analogue equipment and either can’t afford delay kit or don’t know how to use it (as recorded filler material has to be put in at both sides of the phone in segment to compensate for the delay)
its also why our cable doesn’t have these channels as Ofcom are strict and will fine a channel fuckloads of money for pre-watershed swearing (good thing Ofcom don’t yet regulate forums or I’d be skint).
Not sure how many people here remember Ray Cokes, but 10 years ago a intern at MTV Europe (when it was still in Blighty) miscoded a tape for 23:30 TX for 11:30 Saturday morning – Ofcom fined them £100 000 which is about 3 peoples salaries for a station like that.
