I wasn’t expecting my local MP to turn up at that debate and voice support for medical use as well as reform of criminalisation!
I have met the chap a couple of times due to work and he is one of the few Tories I can just about tolerate; to be fair he comes across as a decent person (he is a real NHS doctor as well) who has some genuine experience in dealing with the aftermath of addictions and bad lifestyle choices and it is brave of him to take part in the debate as he has already got a reputaiton for pissing off the main conservative party by criticising some of the NHS privatisation/reforms….
