you’d think folk would try and find somewhere other than near Thetford? The whole place is mapped out and watched not just by feds and Forestry but locals with 999 on speed dial..
Two mile bottom is a comedy name though :laugh_at:
unfortunately even if no complaints were made for noise, people dob in the convoys – why the fuck else do folk drive to Breckland in the early hours? it is otherwise a vast expanse of fuck all (other than Thetford, Brandon, and a forest).
thats a nasty set of charges too, it shows they are holding people accountable for what happens to the buildings..
Police monitored the party in a boarded up holiday home at Two Mile Bottom, near Thetford, from the early hours.
They turned away a number of people who had been trying to get to the secluded site in an area of forest land.
At the height of Saturday’s event there were believed to have been about 150 people attending, police said.
“No complaints were made in relation to noise nuisance and the nearest dwelling was around half a mile away,” Supt Nick Davison said.
“Police take such incidents very seriously and will act to deal with anyone intent on causing disruption and nuisance within our communities.
“Such events are unsafe and we will continue to prosecute and seize and destroy the equipment of anyone found to be involved.”
Those arrested are suspected of theft, burglary, being unfit to drive, causing criminal damage and organising an unlicensed music event
So no one was disturbed even and the pigs have to come down so hard on them – it makes me so angry!!!!
it says “no complaints were made in respect of noise nuisance” – which implies that other complaints were made simply because the ravers were there, and unfortunately because they are in someone elses private property the cops can still take action anyway. cops never used to bother about the more remote raves but there has been such a backlash against raves and drugs down south if they don’t stop the rave local people complain even if they can’t hear it (they still notice the convoys or the rubbish left behind the next day).
So all it takes is for a few dog walkers (or even doggers!) to call 999 and grass up the rave and cops are there. the cops have also got a lot of covert units in that area anyway against those they suspect of robbing stuff from farms etc so are always looking out for odd traffic patterns.
Norfolk police break up rave near Thetford
Officers moved in on an area of forestland at Two Mile Bottom, Thetford, at around 11am on Saturday morning.
At the height of the event there were believed to have been up to 150 people attending. A boarded up holiday house had been broken into and used by the organisers.
Officers had been closely monitoring the situation since midnight and were actively turning away people attempting to attend.
No complaints were made in relation to noise nuisance. The nearest property was around half a mile away.
Supt Nick Davison, from Norfolk police, said: “The constabulary takes such incidents very seriously and will take action to deal with anyone intent on causing disruption and nuisance within our local communities.
“Such events are unsafe and we will continue to prosecute and seize and destroy the equipment of anyone found to be involved.”
Sound equipment was seized and six arrests were made for offences including theft, burglary, being unfit to drive, criminal damage and organising an unlicensed music event.
All of those arrested were taken to Bethel St Police Station.
Members of the public are urged to play their part and support police action by remaining vigilant and reporting and suspicious activity which may lead them to believe a rave is being organised.

I was at this party, ive been to that place for 2 parties b4.
I heard sumwhere sum1 saying this location was a holiday home but i dont think so coz the house is about 12 inches from the camebridge to norwich train line!
Anyways it shud have just been an outdoor party in the forest, the rooms in the house were nowhere near big enough for a good mosh and it was steaming hot in there!
There was enough people tho, felt good to be back on home soil in Norfolk!

It may well have been used for some sort of railway operations before being sold as a holiday home, but of course today it would be hard to make it pay – TBH the only people who might want to hire it might be trainspotters, but if the trains are going too fast they won’t be able to see them properly – or maybe folk what want to explore the woods for wildlife but its mostly retired people what do that – and they are all trying to save money/fuel and can do the same closer to home unless they live nearby (and thus wouldn’t bother renting the place).
That said, trains stop after about 23:00 in most areas and there are hardly any at weekends in East Anglia (for instance when I used to go and visit Biotech and friends the train back only ran every 2 hours).
BTW there’s a Six Mile Bottom in Cambridgeshire, they must eat even more pies there.. :laugh_at:
To get from 2 mile bottom to 6 mile bottom you have to pass through Rimswell in East Riding, Yorkshire. :laugh_at:
