TBH that couple were lucky in more than one sense. Apparently the reason they met in the first place was because the big dude tried to call a number in the local area and dialled Scotland instead (his wife is Scottish) (there are a number of area codes where this could happen).
More importantly they are a decent clean living couple who both work but are in a happy marriage with two young children and good at putting across a decent image so are immune to the negative publicity that some youngsters in the region like the Lottery Lout (also from round here) get caught up in.
The lady said she is going to do some work for kids charities and pointed out she is Scottish so knows how to look after money. They are also my age and remember when this country was no where as affluent as the even todays Britain post economic depression..
Today they had a helicopter flight – from their hotel from Hertfordshire. They instructed the heli pilot to take them to EGSS (Stansted) and then took a Easyjet to a normal European holiday 😉
