They are being kept in their house as they are too young to go on the farm (they will be taken up there in 2 weeks…)
I think they were bred from the Emdens they had last year…
unfortunately not (not sure if they have even named those two yet). they all run this community farm together and aren’t really hedonists to be fair, I do go out for drinks with them now and again but they tend not to stay up after midnight often due to the all the stuff what needs to be done on a farm. I enjoy reading their blogs but that also reminds me why I became an electronics engineer and not a farmer 😉
Aw :(. Yeahh running a farm is hectic, some family friends own a farm and its sooo much work, they start their day at like 4AM .

yes, those are geese. To avoid misidentifying Embdens and similar all white geese (especially juveniles) as Aylesbury ducks (which are fatter than others) or hybrids of the Aylesbury and Oriental breeds (which have long necks and do look goose-like), compare the shape of the beak/bill). If you want ducks you have to go to Stowmarket, where they are numerous to the point of running loose in the streets.
Mike would actually let me (or anyone else) take geese to our local (the Brewery Tap which is actually 1.5km the other end of the dockside) , provided that they don’t fight with the ones he already keeps there…
