  • yeah thats the thing where they hadnt got support of neighbours, all the neighbours were helpful in my mums case, apart from the woman and her friend that made the complaint…. and to this day no one talks to them!

what a bunch of pricks, complainin about a wedding party! that is just beyond belief, even if you normally complain about parties, at least tolerate it ‘cos its a fuckin wedding!

it would be hilarious if a crew decided to have a huuuge party in that neighbours back garden just ‘cos of what middle england wankers they are. unlikely but i’d drive down :laugh_at:

    B-locks!!!

I am in the process of organising my wedding party for next June…Was gonna get in touch with Globalloon about TENS, but now it seems that the legal approach just brings it on top….

I was planning some drum and bass, techno, and reggae, but I do plan to have some proper disco, including ABBA, so maybe I will be alright!

God this country Pisses me off – might just go to France for the party!

France has a very similar law (I think they are trying to make it an EU standard) but with less onerous paperwork, I think the only difference is that at the most you need to just fill in one smaller form rather than a multi page document.

Even then a lot of the more “nimby” départements are refusing to accept any events in their area, but some just let you notify the cops and councils and let you carry on…

    Fair comments GL:groucho:

However, fortunately, we have a nice converted barn in the dordogne region, and if I were to have my wedding reception there, then the whole village would be invited – and there are no Londinistan exiles at camp/caravan sites next door!!

(only joking about France, wedding party will almost certainly be in Oxon – but probably not the Ridgeway at Cholsey:toxic:)

    congratulations Dan

i’m in the process of writing another TEN application for an event this summer. this is going to be right in the middle of the city, so am trying to keep a lot of different people on side . let me know if you decide to go that route after all

Well that just totally proves the fact that the only fun to be had is outside the law.Its a crazy world we live in when something so positive that unites people is illegal! Buisness as usual, party on folks lets break the law.

The wedding party, attended by more than 300 guests last August, also featured a home-made beach of 50 tonnes of sand, a hot-tub, a tee-pee, casino, as well as football, cricket and sumo-wrestling fun for the guests.

sounds like a banging party to be fair, the best i could do at my reception would be a sand pit, paddling pool, pack of cards and a crate of beer….
