Doesn’t surprise me this is happening nowadays though it wasn’t that long ago folk would simply have been thankful the weather has been decent enough anywhere in the UK to grow these at all (I’m old enough to remember strawberries and raspberries being a treat in summer as it wasn’t that easy to get them out of season from foreign countries; although British scientists have also devised more weather-resistant varieties to extend the season!)
Britain and some parts of northern europe might actually be winners in this whole climate change debacle. Although low lying areas are going to be in trouble everywhere.
