The family of a pensioner killed as his granddaughter looked on have have told of their “devastation” at his loss.
Ekram Haque, 65, a retired care worker, was attacked on 31 August in Church Lane, Tooting, as he left a mosque.
His son Arfan Haque said his father was a “gentle giant” and added he was very close to his granddaughter, aged five.
Two boys aged 14 and a 15-year-old have been charged with murder. All three are due to appear at Sutton Youth Court on 6 October.
The two 14-year-olds and the 15-year-old face an additional charge of attempted grievous bodily harm on two other pensioners, a man and a woman, on 26 August in Tooting.
Another boy, aged 12, has been charged with conspiracy to commit GBH in connection with the alleged attacks on two men, one in his 40s and the other in his 70s, in Church Lane.
My view is of absolute disgust, because of the children’s age, I mean the lowest age is only 5 years younger than me, and the oldest is a mere 2 years younger than myself.
I don’t understand what drives someone of those ages to commit a murder on a random person. What disgusts me even more, is that it seems to be a racially incited murder, and my cousin of the same age as me, has both muslim parents and is himself half pakistani and half english. It actually hurts to think about how much of a hell hole England is becoming.
When i was that age, I had better things to do… and would never have even for a moment seriously thought about killing another person.
post your thoughts
whats worse is the attackers are allegedly black and both the mosque elders and the local metpol division are fearful of a full on race war in that part of South London..
Fuck man that’s some heavy shit. Just another example of how fucked up this country is getting.
Imo there isn’t any discipline anymore, When i was younger if i got out of line i got a smack. I quickly fell into place and am thankful that i had that sort of discipline.
This softly softly approach to crime in general just doesn’t work and things need to fucking change sharpish.
I expect with the return of the tories the clampdowns will come, and we might well lose our current party scene (including legal events) and the easy availability of drugs in the process..
those people who are in their teens/20s today might have to get used to nightlife when I was that age – everything closed by midnight and cops stop checking you if you were on the streets late at night – and don’t expect a resurgence in illegal raves because theres way more CCTV and surveillance around now than in 1991..

Isn’t that happening in some places now, music events etc being shut down? Then again if old Cameron is down with the kids as he says then you’ll see him spinning the decks at Ministry on Friday nights.
With regards to drugs issue. Our local force and courts etc are coming down hard on dealers now. Since that big gang got nicked they’re making it their mission to eradicate drugs from Hertfordshire and surrounding counties.
Got a new super and he really doesn’t like the drug culture :hopeless:

cameron is a puppet and the real tory old guard are still there. his lot briefly flirted with the rave scene in the late 1980s as it was “free market enterprise” (when the Young Conservatives got involved in promoting raves) but they all ran like chastised little boys when thatcho told them whose boss and a lot of the working class dealers from East London and Essex got dobbed in and sent down soon afterwards.

Hertspol (VH) is in the “Victor” group of constabularies alongside Bedfordshire, Cambs, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk so this clampdown is going down across the East.
but when you’ve got one group of youths shooting each other dead over weed and others encouraging middle class kids to chuck things at coppers and selling so much K they can replace whole stacks weeks after confiscation (whilst loads of 20 somethings end up in hospital with bladder damage etc) as well as 100 entonox cylinders getting robbed from Eastern hospitals and turning up at raves, maybe its not surprising things have come to a head..

fuck that, ill go on even if it gets me nicked… just as a signal of my stubbornness
Yeah i guess you’re right GL. It’s like poking a lion with a stick, you can only do it so much before it rips your arms off.
Bad analogy there but i think it’ll do,
tooting’s never been a great place but its got worse over recent years, did my training there
frightening the ages of these children
but I’d like to hear about their up bringing as happy, loved, supported children dont tend to commit crime like this – not making excuses at all – as everyone has choices – but if violence and hate is all you know as it is all you have been brought up with its very difficult to change or know how to :hopeless:

I think this maybe national – there have been some really big organised drugs busts my way recenly, in 3 different areas – focusing on heroin and crack dealers – lots of arrests and sentances of quite some lenght
and also one million pounds of PURE heroin was found in a car boot down the road from me the other week -(imagine the street value!!)

thats what one of my mates (also called Josh!) did!
he got 4 months in HMP Peterborough, as did his mate Mikey (got 6 months but I think they let him out on tag)
OK from what he told me it wasn’t that bad (although he never wants to go there again) and his family and friends have stood by him (same with Mikey) but it has lasting effects. Maybe not being emotionally traumatised but its a criminal record for dishonesty against the public purse and always holds you back when it comes to real life and jobs.
I’ve got a minor criminal record for drugs and there’s no way I’d get the job I have now without the family connections.
Every other company would have rejected me for this sort of position when my past came to light – there are plenty of people with no record and better academic qualifications and employing a former or present drug user in a finance and business critical IT role in a company what cares for vulnerable people is risky unless you can really trust that person (my family do which is why I am 100% honest about everything at work and do my job as well as I can).
In many companies their investors or insurers will openly discourage them from “giving such a person a chance..”
Although Josh’s conviction will expire at some point, because it was reported in the Press any private detective agency worth their fee will be able to drag it up. Although I doubt he wants to become a captain of industry or anything like that even the construction industry keeps blacklists on people…
the difference is raves were once seen as harmless fun (even a Tory MP said that) but now they are viewed as organised crime and treated accordingly (I’ve had this confirmed by two separate Police Officers in England who used to be ravers)

no, all his drug related charges were dropped.
He literally got sent down just for having a rave. It is one of the harshest penalties given to organisers in England and even some of the cops were shocked to hear both the lads had been sent down.

Warren Hill is even shittier than Norwich or Peterborough. Bear in mind it will be full of jumped up chavs including many from Essex and East London all wanting to prove themselves.
I think Mikey may have gone to a YOI due to his age, it may have been Warren Hill but I’m not 100% sure. Compared to Josh, Mikey hasn’t talked much about his time in the can, I don’t think he enjoyed it or wanted to talk about it.
i assume they were an example?

yes, It came to a head at a rave in July 2007 when people were stubborn so all 3 local forces (Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex) were used to close down a rave in an operation which had its very own codename (Operation Hawk)
There is a precedent of harsh penalties in this area, with an Essex promoter being given 3 months jail in 2001. Its a very long story which even has links with the aftermath from the Ipswich murders in 2006 – the same high detective team was used to investigate every part of my friends lifestyles.
the cops are looking at a much bigger picture than raves, one of young people being drawn into drug addiction and serious criminality or dysfunctional behaviour though overdoing party drugs, as well as younger folks being unfortunately punished for the sins of my generation.
