the “sad loner/wierdo” stereotype of the extreme right is also has an amount of media spin. Many of them do have friends, not very nice people of course, but friends nevertheless.
And until they carry out horiffic acts, in todays society where “free speech” is valued, they are often viewed as relatively harmless even compared to noisy rebellious subcultures such as ravers or drug users! This is of course a forum full of right-on progressive people who would think right wing activists are scum – but there are others who whilst they might not turn to violence themselves would still support those what do..
in the extreme right are many older men aged 60-90 with a HM Forces background, who have been hostile to the permissive society, feminism and multiculturalism right from the start of it in the 1960s/70s. Many of don’t get their hands dirty as such – especially a lot of them actually manage to find wives, who they tend to control and dominate and who tend to often expire before them if they don’t divorce first. Once the women are out of the way they are free to carry out their hate unchecked – so you’ve got a lot of angry older men grooming the younger men (and yes, there is a element of homoeroticism there as well!) – consider that science teaching today is shit so the young’uns need to be taught how to make their bombs and poison..
the bleakest thing I have seen in recent times is clear evidence the extreme right views have contaminated the rave scene in some areas – people (including another dude on this site who is shy about his heroism) literally fought to keep them scum out of our scene during the 1990s.
