  • This does not include trash correctly placed in bins and really is a sad indictment on the kind of people who flock there. Of course there is as much coast round here where I live and as many London incomers also visiting but you never hear of the same level of contamination :yakk:

BBC News – Brighton beach left with 23 tonnes of rubbish

This will be the death of all our native species. I can guarantee it.

Wow thats a lot of rubbish.

I live in the countryside and it really pisses me off when I see bits of rubbish dumped but 23 tonnes man I would bust a nut haha

Thankfully there is a lot more to England than just the South East (to be fair you only notice this when you move out).

I was looking at a list of fauna & flauna that have become extinct due to mankind and its a sickening sight. Not long before we as species are on too…..well, the more delinquent and degenerate of us anyway.

UK ones or world ones? There are only about 70 native species of animals in the modern UK anyway though even here we have lost a few as opposed to other European nations as the UK is more crowded.

but 23 000 kilos of trash dumped on a beach which already had bins is just fucking horrendous. Although I doubt EA’s beaches are always spotless if this was happening here I’d surely have seen it either in the local press or friends who are much more deeply into this eco living stuff than I am would have mentioned it.

One reason I got hacked off with raves here was the practice of dumping balloons from nitrous everywhere along with all the other rubbish. Especially as I have repeatedly been advised over the years by folk from the environment ministry that outdoor events are not a problem if everyone clears up…

Both UK and world, the ‘extinct in the wild’ list is a good read too.

Yeah the rubbish/litter is on reason I won’t go to a rave. As someone who actually cares about this countries ecosystem and wildlife, I just go more mental than I am already lol

It’s ridiculous man, pure fkin laziness. There are bins every few hundred yards on the beach & people still can’t be bothered to use them, bunch of lazy bellends!
