yep everything comes up, cautions the lot (hence why I’m supposed to be supervised in areas where controlled drugs are kept) – something like that its still classed as a traffic offence as normal civillian cops have jurisdiction over non tidal rivers, with dual responsibilities where the river becomes tidal (like here)
she wouldn’t have got as far as the ferry round here as there is everyone keeping a sharp lookout along the waterfront as the whole area is treacherous and sadly people go over the side or the bank and drown regularly, as well as near misses between vessels
Just two weeks ago I was listening on the VHF frequencies and a big cargo ship nearly collided with a RIB, luckily it was empty but the Dutch skipper was really worried and said “I hope I didn’t smash it”. (the harbourmasters reply was “don’t worry mate, its made out of rubber :laugh_at: )
when they didn’t do CRB checks or didn’t cross check things scum got good jobs like the former head of SCAMB, he did time for murder as a minor due to being part of a gay bashing gang (so no way anyone like that should ever work in healthcare) and never declared it – it seems it only came to light after he was busted for DUI and a further check was done..
