yeah dude there was no way i was gonna miss this party dude esp when its in wales. Yeah the little bit of trouble was on the Monday down on the central rig, i went back to the car to grab a drink and when i came back my mates said that some dude had hit 1 of the boys from CTN in the head with a piece of metal. Couldnt believe it since there had been no trouble all weekend then some fuckin idiot had to ruin it, cant c y they would of hit him cause he is safe as fuck. Not sure wot happened to the dude who hit him tho.

in the context of other incidents that happened that night (unexplained damage to vehicles which were not “from the area”) I can’t help but wonder if it was an irate local who carried out this attack?
An amount of trouble is unfortunately fairly common at English raves in the SE (most prevalent at London), but usually it is gangs attempting to rob people (or to fight another gang) and there are multiple victims throughout the night, and more than one person committing the crimes. I am pleased to see I have not as yet seen any complaints of muggings at either this tek or last years Welsh event at Trefil/Ystrad.
From what you say it seems that this incident was isolated and targeted a single prominent person from a local crew, but was carried out in full view of witnessess, as if it was done to “teach someone a lesson” rather than relieve them of their phone/wallet/money…
And I reckon that even “chav” ravers would not have wanted to spoil the atmosphere of such a good rave by committing such an act.
Of course the locals could not fight the entire rave, but all it would take is one hot-headed coward who thinks he’s hard………
