:bounce_m: I see you found your way:bounce_m:
Hi there Mike..
 So very nice to meet you..Welcome to Partyvibe..
if they were at the party it seems wierd that they had exactly 2000 pills & 2kg
surely there would have been an odd amount if they had been dealing over the weekend?
it’s not unusual to find dealers of this scale in remoting places dealing to customers in places outside that area… less risk for the factories etc. there’s also a whole estate of people on witness protection / relocation in cornwall… many still have links to the businesses they grassed on
i’ve been at parties where the cops have turned up guns though, twice, both in Devon in the mid 90’s
didn’t the cops who shot de menezes use hollow tips?
they`ve cleaned it up and you wouldnt even know it had happened, theres alot more rubish up there from locals dumping it them what came from the party.
Rave site woodland contaminated
Woodland on Bodmin Moor contaminated with human waste during an illegal rave over the Bank Holiday weekend could remain unsafe for several weeks.
The Forestry Commission has decided it will be an impossible task to try to remove the mess at Davidstow Common.
Instead, it is hoped that sunshine and rainfall in the area will break down the material naturally.
The commission is advising people to stay away until they are told it is safe to visit again.
About 2,500 revellers used the area as an open toilet during the illegal rave near Camelford. Paul Williams, from North Cornwall District Council’s environmental health section, said his initial estimate of how long the waste breakdown process was at least four weeks.
I have heard of several occaisions where guns have turned up at raves…….mainly in London admittedley. Never a good thing, but it does happen.
Personally I don’t think those people had been at the Tek. Cornwall actually has quite a high level of drug use / abuse / import.
I’ve been aware of replicas being flashed around (but of course you can never tell until you are too close!) but thankfully I have never heard of a gun actually being discharged at a London event other than the UKG DJ who got capped for finishing his set too early at an unlicensed Garage event!)
Unfortunately UKG crew use the term “rave” for their events and cops can’t be expected to be experts on urban music genres…
I’ve seen ARVs (armed response vehicle) lurking about when the cops turn up at London parties. They are fairly discreet (well as discreet as a large silver estate car with 3 big coppers in it can be) and lurk a few metres behind the rest of the cops; presumably there “just in case”.
Thames Valley used to put them on standby for Reading raves after the shooting at the Matrix (they stopped about 2 years later when they realised that no one played UKG).
being a coastal area this is unsurprising (same round these parts) but however its spun its a PR disaster for free-thinking people.
This incident may (probably will) be linked with both the RTTS (VW cruise type thing) and the rave – both are otherwise harmless but noisy events that may locals would rather didn’t happen at all and this sort of incident gives the locals an excuse to say “look, these events are dangerous as they attract gangster types with guns”.
incidentally UK cops can use hollowpoint rounds (as can all police worldwide- they are only banned in military conflict!) but the EU discourage all their civillian police forces from using such rounds unless in extreme situations.
Under EU human rights laws civillian police can only shoot to kill in order to save other lives such as in a hostage or terrorist situation.
Its usually only US cops who routinely use hollowpoints as in an armed society they are used to armed resistance.
its a shame more people didn’t use a shovel; as TBH it looks like despite having a meeting between the cops, council, Forestry Commission and every seperate part of Defra (including the bits of the core department which don’t normally get involved in “local” issues) the only real contamination was the human shit (note how no other problems were mentioned!)
A lot of effort was put into clearing up the other rubbish at the party – people can be seen on the TV report doing this – and it is true the locals are flytipping stuff there as well (like with any other open space)
but there’s no way rave crews can be or should be expected to clear up other peoples shit.
But if its just left there it is a hazard until it degrades. The difference between human waste and that of other species is that humans are even filthier creatures which carry even more diseases!
In rural areas people used to get very ill due to human waste (often used as fertilizer) contaminating watercourses and fields used for food crops, and the people who collected it did not last very long.
It may be true that the Chinese still use human waste as fertilizer (although this practice is now being discouraged); but that is also why they do not like eating raw vegetables on the mainland…
/me waves
Thanks for making me feel so welcome  could anyone tell me where to look for advice about travelling round european teks this summer and general travelling info??
catch you around…
Mike

Your right, it would be hard for rig owners to clear up other peoples Human shit !
But its not fair on the locals either though. Its a shame as it is one thing i find disapointing about most parties nowadays, people do just shit anywhere !
At one party in Wales I even had a couple of girls stop me and ask what i was doing walking to the woods with a spade…. when i said “going for a shit” I had to expalin that i was going to dig a whole for it first…… They said “Urghhh ! that’s disgusting… why do you do that !” – or words to that effect !
I couldn’t beleive that they didn’t get it ! Is it really that hard to figure out that shitting on the ground will caucse loadsa hassle for someone ? – would they like to clear up someone else’s Shit, or worse still, tread in it ?????
I think more people should be aware of this problem, and it should get sorted out as it is one of the few legitimate complaints people can make about free parties that nobody can really argue against ! – and the last thing we want is to give them ammunition (urgh, i didn’t mean it like that !!!!)
Anywayz, Rant over
Mike
