lol well basically when the police had arrived the last person to see him was me and that was at about 9am and he was layed sprawled out on the moors making me hug him:laugh_at: :laugh_at:

the chopper came over at about 14.20 told everyone to disperse otherwise cars were gonna get towed etc, by 14.30?! 10 minutes, WTF! i had to stumble around and try and pack my tent up in gale force winds, while off my box.

Ended up just having to ram one of those pop up tents in the car cause i couldnt work out how to get it in the bag, i took a walk through the site at about 3 and people were saying they had been given a section63. I was out of there sharpish as soon as i got my shit together, but the cops must have come in at about 15/16.00 latest. not really enough time for people to sobre up or pack up. it was so windy as well it was really hard to hear the announcment.

A group did go and speak to the cops, not sure what happened after that. It was wierd tho cause they’d blocked the road off before about 12/1am, but then they then let everyone on and were still letting people on the early next moring.

Then they set up the mobile HQ on one hill and shit loads of vans on another and sent the helicopter over again really low. I think it was more about them having one put over on them at the start by the amount of people that turned up so they had to let everyone in. So it was a proper show of strength.

Fucked up tho, cause that place was right out of the way, there cant have been any complaints about the noise. I reckon if they’d have let it go on till mon people would have been up for going alot more easily and the tidy up could be done properly (maybe).

I wonder how many rigs got siezed?

I dont know if this is true or not but the cops cant knowingly order you to commit an offence can they? cause tellling clearly mashed drivers to get into their car and fuck off is a bit irrisponsible and fucked up imo. TBF they werent stopping (apart from vans) or brethalysing people, but thats not really the point is it?

good party tho, shame there werent more rigs and the early finish, but still quality. saw that old guy that got the asbo there as well. There was a lot of people there too.

Good to meet so many people off of here as well.

Both lancs and GMP have mounted sections – unlike many southern forces which do not, Norfolk and Suffolk and Essex don’t have one (ironic given that horses aren’t thin on the ground here..)

couldn’t get the download to work (I expect at the time loads of people were trying) – may give it another go later.

DJprocess, which bloke had the asbo? The one who was with one of the rigs? There were 2 blokes arguing about him turning off his system when the mounted cops came. Just

Notts (and even the combined Welsh / English forces at Wentwood) gave the ravers a fair amount of time to clear up after the rigs had been removed (or in the case of wentwood confiscated), so it might be grounds for a complaint. After all once the music has gone most people will disperse from a rave site, its not like the 90s where people are going to try and squat it..

I think they can claim that a responsible group would have had another sober person to drive the car, or the alternative were the cops tow it away, or for someone to bend the rules slightly and only drive the vehicle to a layby or suitable other place and rest there (which my mates have done before in this situation).

if they went “by the book” they’d have to impound the cars and drivers (and have done this in some cases if people are particularly incoherent)

Otherwise, its one of those things they’d “sort out in Court” after there has been a nasty crash – and to normal people it would no different from a druggie robbing a place and then being chased by a cop on blues and having a crash. Cops would claim both the moral high ground and a propaganda victory, albeit at the expense of using other road users as pawns in the political game.

if you looked down from the cliff where the main road was his was on the far left backed up against the cliff had red trim on the speakers. He’s been in the papers before so i dont think im giving to much away saying he was there as im sure 5-O will recognise him.

also his ASBO only applies to Norfolk so he’s not breached it

he’s got another trump card as he’s old enough to be my Dad and apparently terminally ill, and he’s got no form for dealing drugs – I doubt the cops are going to want to make him spend his last days in HMP Norwich as I think the remaining liberal do gooder sorts on the media would have a field day complaining about the unfairness of this…
