Police said they were working to contain a rave involving 2,500 people in Pembrokeshire.
Roads near Dale have been blocked to stop further vehicles arriving although people are being allowed to leave.
A Dyfed-Powys Police said the activity was illegal and it wanted “to ensure minimum disruption” to local people.
Sound systems were brought onto the site on Saturday with people travelling from as far afield as Devon, Hampshire and the north east of England.
Music and dancing was continuing on Sunday afternoon at the site, which is around a mile and a half from Dale village.
Party-goers told BBC Wales they planned to clear up the site before they left…

Was the Adran Cŵn (dog unit) there? the impression I always got of Welsh raves is the heddlu actually found them amusing (rather than a threat) and a chance to play with all their new surveillance kit as most of the other crime in that area is domestic violence / feuding families and sheep theft which doesn’t require a lot of detective work to deal with…
Didn’t see any dog units and when we turned up the Police directed us onto the site. But they are stopping people in the surounding area, there all over the place, I got pulled over and what not on the way home quite some way from the site and they knew exactly where we had been. Though the dreads and licence plate might have been a clue

most of the ANPR and covert surveillance equipment used in the UK is made and tested in Wales…when I was at a Welsh tek in 05 this silver merc turned up full of clean cut young lads dressed like 1990s ravers. It just drove round the site and disappeared later.
we later saw it in Swansea driving straight into VOSA/DVLA HQ (not the Police station) – they must have got so many numberplates on the hard drive it made more sense to do the checks at VOSA directly!
I think what the cops do is let this happen, but record everything they can – then they have the numberplates of all the ravers for the rest of the season and the registered owners of the cars. These then get passed to each constabulary where the ravers are from. (this doesn’t happen immediately, it can be months later).
From this they pick off the dealers, the rig owners or those what drive badly.

they had the old helicopter come over twice and a spotter plane when I was there. Would love to know how many OB computer things my licence plate is on. Never had a letter or ever been pulled over apart from today though.
Only Cheshire, GMP, Hantspol and Sussex have fixed wing aircraft – for that to be there might mean the force wants intelligence on a rig from one of those areas for further investigation…
however cops do store a lot of info but can only act on it if the person is involved in other crime. TBH as long as the person isn’t a thief, junkie, dealer or uninsured/unlicensed they get left alone even if they are known as organisers. TVP were watching me for ages on town CCTV simply because I was a “middle class Asian” and had a lot of squatter friends, they thought I was a dealer! (there are a lot of Asian drug dealers in Reading/Maidenhead/Slough area and that was also my main stomping ground)
I got arrested a few years ago for a non-drug related matter (abstracting electricity) and worked out from some jargon a custody sarge used I definitely had a local intelligence file..

Interesting stuff! I assume it was a police spotter plane, it flew round and round then flew off. The police helicopter hovered for agesss to so they must have got some good video. Never been involved in any crime me, my greatest worry is that because I am on benefits they will assume I either am involved in crime or something like that. Although a quick look at my debits would soon dispel that myth haha
do you recon they still have a file on you?
But that’s the only rave for me this year, and I stayed away from K weed and other things that have caused me problems and didn’t get too wasted at all so I am quite chuffed with myself and hopefully I will be able to party every so often and still move forward with things. Happy days!

yes, though I think by the mid 2000s they realised I wasn’t a dealer, any drugs I took were for personal use only, I’ve never done violent crime and I fund my lifestyle via legitimate employment.
Even if Suffolk have been passed it I think they realise I’ve been true to my word, I said in ’06 I was starting a new life in East Anglia and would never do anything to damage the new community which has welcomed me and would party responsibly from now on… I’m not even up for illegal raves in this area but would far rather encourage the younger folk to put on a safe and legal one…
looks like the tek has worked out nicely this year , seems to be going well in the vid report . hope it ends nicely :bounce_fl:bounce_g:

The location is gourgess and the rigs are sounding really really good! not any chaves etc either due to the distance I guess
the mediacoverage seems to be in quite a positive light – it will be nice if the word can be kept and the place is left spick and span – further positive media may entail for a short time

thats quite good of the cops – sounds like it went down really well… hopefully the ravers wont take the piss like they did in EA 🙂
