wow, that dude even paid the shopkeeper back at todays prices…
The owner of an Indian food store in Bristol has received a apology letter and £100 from a former drug addict who stole cigarettes from the shop in 2001.
Imran Ahmed, 27, who runs Raja Foods in St Marks Road, Easton, said he was stunned to open the remorseful letter.
It begins: “Dear Sirs, I am writing this letter to make amends to you for something I have done in the past.”
Mr Ahmed said the thief’s change of heart was “really good” and he intends to give the money to a drugs’ charity.

wow! bet that made a nice change
I know someone who after around 20 years of using and theiving got clean and was astounded by the price of tampons as she’d never paid for them before
she had such a shock :laugh_at:
this just goes to show how decent people with morals can get caught up in a life of crime and stealing due to an addiction … i bet that guy wouldn’t of stolen them ciggs if he wasn’t on smack at the time .. and by the fact that he paid for them after he got clean just goes to show that a heroin addiction can really make you into some one who you are not and may regret every thing you have done whilst addicted after you quit .. if you manage to quit at all that is.
