Just a reminder that pills in circulation across Northern Europe remain extra strong at >200mg. There have recently been fatal OD’s in Denmark, and in the case below from the SW of England two young lads who were found guilty of supplying to a friend of theirs who did not survive were very lucky to escape prison in part because because the parents of the deceased kid told the judge that they did not think sending them to jail would solve anything (one of the dealers even warned his friend of the strength but the lad ignored the warnings)

bump!
Two more young casualties at festivals in Northern England, and a friend of a lass who OD’d arrested for supplying class A at age 17.
The Loop are reissuing warnings about the pills at strength 200-300mg+
Its a shame the producers keep making these silly non symmetrical shapes like corporate logos, heads of political leaders and yet don’t add breaklines to the pills..
The UK’s puritanical attitude to drugs for the last 30 years doesn’t help either, if there were /more/ one evening events in local venues with late opening times I suspect you wouldn’t get half the overdoses or the risk of DUI and road crashes (which don’t seem to be anything like as much a problem across the North Sea)
I get having super strong pills from a business perspective as well as the flashy shapes and designs but it really is a public health concern.
300mg is a lot, especially if you’re new to the scene and your brain has all of its serotonin still. Powder MDMA is a lot better in that you can weigh your dose but that assumes having a scale with you at a festival which is a whole other can of worms.
A smalller shipment of stronger pills is of course way easier to conceal for shipment, but trying to bring a scale (or even prepared doses to share with friends) into a UK festival could result in a lot of bother to anyone who is caught (even the Ed Sheeran concerts in my town had all sorts of searches and checks going on!)
I’ve just read the Dutch news and am noticing an increase prosecutions for dealing (both domestic and overseas) – there has also been a lot of social engineering going on across the UK (and wider Europe) over the last 3 decades to try and restrict MDMA (and drugs usage as a whole) within a younger age group in lower socio economic classes, with short term success but very long term damage to communities (such as this fucked up phenomenon of the rise of more addictive drugs and “county lines” we now have in many parts of England)
What are county lines?
where a group of older dealers (aged 30-60+) from London (or Manchester, Newcastle, Liverpool where these places are nearer) groom teenagers and young adults into collecting hard drugs (mostly crack and heroin) from a city, and travelling by train or car to a base in a provincial town/village.
This base is often social housing obtained by the young dealers “cuckooing” (taking over) the living space of an addict their age. These get linked in with the British “gangsta rap” or “drill” scene, and often there is all kinds of sketchy violence including stabbings with fatalities.
Although a different dealing network from party drugs dealers, there is a problem with young ravers burning out on MDMA and turning to heroin to “smooth out rough comedowns”, it was a problem about 10 years ago in my town and unfortunately finished off a few of my young friends only in their 20s…
Ok, I’d heard of “going country” where city gangs since youth to commuter towns and small cities for a day because if they get caught the penalty is low. Sounds about the same just a bit more involved.
