Ben’s article (and the ‘zine as a whole) are good, but I do feel that the 1990s bright text on dark background design was more suited to the CRT monitors of those days gone by and is hard on the eyes on new LCD technology – as is the use of the monospaced fonts…
I had to force myself to read the longer articles because of this – maybe a compromise could be reached with the body text put into boxes/rectangles with light background and dark text? (a bit like how the colour schemes are done on here!) – whilst keeping the “retro” look for the side images and backgrounds?
