just noticed recently there is a steady flow of new members askin for raves and info, and they always get the same answers, that they aint gonna get any info immediately and they have to go to legal venues or build a trust up, whatever.

on PV everyone is real helpful when people ask this, instead of squatjuice “fuck off you pig” but wouldn’t it be useful to stick it in a sticky thread or even better, a feature where it appears at the top of the forum index while you have less than 10 posts?

not blamin the new members they just wanna get out there and rave (dont we all) but a lotta people seem to ask for info!

This sounds like a good idea to me, might help cut down on the many emails I get on the subject too. Who fancies having a go?

But you will still get many a thread asking about “wheres the party at?” .. because thats just how it is. :p

I don’t want to increase the paranoia levels but do you not think the feds have the time and resource to cultivate a on line identity over weeks or months?
Anyone who knows of a party in Devon over easter please pm me!

they could, but it would be a resource-intensive and expensive way of getting info that could be obtained from other sources. all they would get from a partyline is a meeting point which they could find out about anyway by checking CCTV or waiting for locals to call…

even today the raves that get stopped are still often only those that were done in stupid places to start with, that got too big or went on too long, or were put on by crew members involved in other serious crime who are already well known to the feds.

having a go writing the bit about asking, or the PHP coding side of things?

i used to be able to do PHP, i could work out the logic but might get stuck on some of the formulas now, been a while since I did it.

i can do the blurb about not asking about raves though…
