there are no kandi kids to my knowledge in the u.k. at least there are no kandi nights, its a source of ridicule in this country as far as i’m aware. there is a lot of inter genre bitching going on, and one style that everyone takes the piss out of is kandi kids. fuck nose why. i spose it just seems a bit ott, and you know what people can be like when they dont understand summat.

PLUR has been used at least since the late eighties, when the original raves were held, the acronym appeared in the corner of most flyers. have to say i dont see it enough of it on flyers these days.

its like its gone out of fashion, the scene here is quite dark hard and bleak compared to a lot more upbeat scenes… maybe im talking about dnb and techno more than anything else…psytrance is pretty happy and freindly.

plur has more of a political term here in the party scene, for those among us who actually want unity in the scene, and still beleive that can be acheived. we are not the majority. check out http://www.squatjuice.org and you’ll see the darkside of party opinion.

there is a storm soundsystem about, i dont know any of em, but i hear good things, im sure theyd be a bit miffed if we rinsed their moniker. i know what you’re sayin, tho. i hope we can sort out some transcontinental flavour raves for the new year. its been wicked chatting to an american who really knows the score with the stateside scene, a real education. i reallty like chattin to people from other scenes, it puts what goes on here in context, helps me see what it is and isn’t, what i could have been and what it might be. lush.
