Strange case – THC is an unusual thing to be testing potable drinking water for in the first place and it is not water soluble. In Europe the environment and health ministries do permit testing of sewage water to track patterns of recreational drug usage but potable water tests are usually confined to searching for disease germs/viruses or poison chemicals.
A bit worrying that evidence of forced entry has been found at the feed well but these facilities are often broken into and vandalised worldwide by people who are ignorant of what they are and their importance to the locality rather than deliberate saboteurs.
Mind you with the rise of Trump, Brexit and other world events I wouldn’t even put it past a disaffected person to contaminate water but it would have cost them money to do this; and if there is genuinely THC in the water than surely that means its further contaminated with whatever solvent the stuff is dissolved in?

I’m skeptical, kinda like when the DEA said they were finding rabbits that were high from eating marijuana grows in Utah, problem being that rabbits have no endocanabinoid system and thus can’t get high. Small towns in Colorado are often very opposed to this whole marijuana legalization thing and thus this could be a setup.
This is very weird if true, if someone were to sabotage a drinking water system then they’d probably go for a more ambitious target.
The tests could be faulty and providing a false positive. As you say thought whatever solvent might have been used is more of an issue. I think many people wouldn’t mind if their water had THC in it.
