Thanks for sharing DB. It’s all to common for the people with the loudest moral outrage are no different or less human than the rest of us.

When you have some sort of power, no matter how trivial, it can and commonly does go straight to peoples heads. Someone once said that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

I remember reading both books at school. We didn’t have to read the full copy of Animal Farm, just a couple of short sections or something far less memorable than the book, but having heard about the book and enjoying the parts I’d just read, I borrowed a copy and read it at home.

I still find it bizarre that you have one of the last remaining countries to all but totally ignore the metric system.

Kelvin is just Celsius with a very fixed lower bound, but even just having the knowledge to make such scales is what makes me love science.
