Only done salvia 6 or 7 times myself, only had one negative experience with it though and that was after mixing it with booze, weed and ketamine. Never had the pleasure of acquainting myself with dmt.
If used in a respectful manner, i.e. in a spiritual context or for aiding meditation and self exploration, and not abused as a party drug salvia can deliver a highly pleasurable and enlightening experience.
