Gave up alcohol approx 7 years ago before it very nearlly killed me after some “heavy” drinking that spanned over some 25 years…25 years was a blurr i don’t even remember most of it..what a waste of life..not to mention an incredible amount of money..there were some good times but they were fsr outweighed by the bad times…now i don’t even think abouty it and never get the urge to have a drink..where as at one time it ruled my life and would go nowhere without it 24/7..even if going on a flight i would fill half a bottle of coke with brandy…for thiose who can go and have a drink now and again great but i think i have fat to much of an addictive peronality and wouldn’t try or want a drink again.
A few times i have seen people on the same road as i wad on..and i feel there is so many things i could tell them but then i thi k well who ami to tell others what to do…and if someone had gived me advise all those years ago i would of told themto fxxx off because drink was the beall and end all.
Anyone in the same boat good luck…i can only say its like having your life back once you get over the shaking,sweating,illucinasions or whatevewr other symptoms…but believe me it is worth it.:crazy_dru
