my aunt brought round half of a litre bottle of Bells Scotch which had been hanging round the house (which no one there had been able to drink). not the best of Scotch but I don’t turn down free booze…
Only drawback to this is now there is considerably less left in the bottle, I have just woken up after being crashed out for two hours (must be starting to get old :hopeless: ) with Eloïse by the Damned running through my head (along with what feels like a entire Felixstowe freight train, loaded up with isotainers crammed with annoying rattly things).
This in itself isn’t too bad, apart from the Damned song reminding me for some reason of a young lady I was quite close to some years ago who “isn’t there” for reasons to do with the early 90s pill culture and lack of harm reduction 😥 (she wasn’t called actually Eloïse but the lyrics make sense in context of my youth) some bits of the 1980s/1990s are best forgotten – one of those moments you pour yourself another drink to get over it.. (probably not the best advice for all but in this case it works for me…)
