Strangely enough i have noticed a pattern when i have fish n chips recently, I have felt fine at night eating it but the next day my face is a bit swollen but mostly my eyes are very swollen and itchy and also my hands look like they’ve been blown up and they’re itchy too, and i feel generally unwell so had to take the day off work. I never related it to the fish but it happened again on monday night and i took tuesday off work, then the penny dropped when i thought about the past 2 times i’ve took a day off work.. I ate the fish n chips the night before! That has to be the fish, but fuck knows why??

what species? seafood allergies are not uncommon. Normal fish are fine for me, though I know I cannot eat the “ugly” things like squid/octopus etc as I get ill (which isn’t a problem as I don’t like them anyway, those can stay in the sea where they are far away from me…)

I assume it’d be standard haddock being its just a simple fish n chips. I can’t recall having had this problem in the past only the last 3 times is about as far back as i could puzzle together that i ate it.
Yuck I’ve never tried squid or octopus i don’t think i’d like to.
Crab is amazing! I miss having crab off the BBQ, mmmmmm

I doubt its haddock because that is one of the most expensive out of the main fish breeds used.
    Its probably pollock

    HOLY FUCK MAN
Teacher almost dies eating fish and chips | Metro News

I’m not eating em again, looks like i’ve been lucky thus far!

I didn’t bother with your DailyFail link out them 3 😛

When you buy your fish and chips do you literally just say fish and chips or do you specify the fish?

    Make it your self !
Dust one fillet of fish with flower and dip in batter (flour and water, thickish)
    Peal and chop spuds.
Then drop the spuds in a pan of oil till they golden brown, put them aside on some paper towels and cover and then do the same with the battered fish till its gold.
Haddock costs 1.50 (there abouts) and potatoes are cheap as chips 😉

does cheap as chips catchphrase work when in fact potatoes are being turned into chips which increases the price greatly? 😀
