its only a joke but it just goes to show what a fucked up and annoying place the internet could be if programmed so

actually it’s quite tame
I find a lot of modern websites to be annoying though, overdoses of popups and clickons, too many links and not enough raw content

roll on web2 with more images/videos and 3/4d interactive encyclopaedic design.. viruses can fuck off

Mate i clicked on the link and wish i didn’t! Some proper gay video comes up and you can’t escape it!! I’ve got that fucking tune in my head now, amusing tho :crazy_diz

When you are doing the ‘boot time scan’ (blue screen with white writing scanning your drives), when it finds the virus/trojan it will stop and ask what you wish to do with it and give 9 options. Choose ‘repair’ for the infected svchost.exe file all other files choose ‘delete’.
One booted into windows, update Avast immediately and then find the option to run another boot time scan and reboot. Just to be sure.

There is a small chance that Avast will not fix you, so be prepared for some harsh reality registry fixing (I’ll have a look for a win32/puce.D removal tool for you now) or the best option which is to backup your data and reinstall windows.

Like I said the virus you have aint a baddy, just inconvenient so you are safe to backup your music etc to a safe place and use it in the future.

In my experience AVG is not at all filesharing friendly.

I tried to do that bootscan thing, but it seemed to freeze at 100% complete. Im gonna give it another go now…
also it got to 100% and didnt say anything about finding any virus’ or anything…

sorry to hear that

update the virus definitions and do another boot time scan

to arrange a boot time scan I think you have to open the avast control program and find the boot scan option on the menu there.

if it still doesn’t find it then there is a manual way to remove the virus, but you’ll have to follow geek steps careful like

sometimes a reinstall of windows is the best remedy

just make sure you’ve backed up your porn

i forced it to restart then did another bootscan and it seemed to work, didnt give me any options about the virus tho. dont think it found it. Im doing another scan now while windows is running to see what that brings up. Then do another bootscan after that. Ill let you know if i have any probs.
