I’ve just found out this is a new virus, so you’re possably gonna have trouble finding an easy solution quickly if nothing sugested so far hasn’t worked. It seams loads of people are having big problems getting rid of it totaly. The virus was only releaced @ the end of march 2011 aparently!

You keep trying tho and you’ll find some way to get rid of it.

haha yeah i remeber i had some fake malware shit very similer to this and it fucking drove me mental!

it hides all your files btw – so when you download stuff it may be that the folder + the actual file’s have been set to “hidden”. There’s a program that can stop this called unhide or something (you can do it manualy but I fear the virus will just turn it back to hide again), but cos the virus is new, a propper 100% working step by step fix is hard to find.

It’s litteraly going through as many step by step guids that you can that you’ve got from forums rather then websites (unless a forum points you to a step by step list and the person who’s been getting the help has said it’s worked)

I read a step by step guide and the poor guy trying to fix it mashed there pc up, so you have to be a bit carefull what one’s you do.

I would say I’d link to your pc via remote connection and have a crack at it for you – but need to look into how safe that is for my pc – i think it’s a one way connection tho.

Oh and don’t start plugging in more drives like flash drives as it’ll most likely copy it’s self to them too!

Also another thing to do (if you have another way of getting online) is not have the infected pc plugged into the net for now to stop anything else getting on there.

I’ve just got up my self – how’s the scan doing? – I have a feeling kaspersky isn’t gonna fix the whole thing – I think we gonnqa have to use about 3 programs at least to get rid of it by the sounds of things. keep the scan going for a bit if it not pick anything up by the time i’ve fully woken up then we’ll try something else I’ve found that seems to work for a few people – but it’s a bit of a mission to do. (alltho hopefully we’ll get it done by end of today).
