Hi all,
I’ve just found a “non-negligible quantity” of hash washed up on the beach… Unfortunatley none of the bars were in their protective plastic wrapping so it’s taken on a bit of water. It’s obviously been in the water for at least a couple of weeks but it still smells of dope if you can get past the salty-seaweed smell…
I was just wondering if anyone here has had a similar experience and found an intersting way of making use of it…?
If not I’m gonna end up with a 3 year supply of very-very salty Marrakesh butter… 🙂
you lucky lucky person
try cooking with it
hmmmmm…..i think the best thing for you to do would be to send some to
me as a sample, i can study it, and let you know my findings…..
🙂
You’re welcome to some if you can come collect it, but paranoia prevents me from revealing any contact details… 🙂
Shout out “Beach Lurker!!!” on the street every now and again and if I hear you you can come and fill up your pockets!
globalloon : cooking it certainly seems to be the way to go. “Marrakesh Butter”, as my social circles refer to it, is what I was thinking of :
– Shred and then boil up all your little leaves and branches after harvest time (30mins minimum), don’t see why hash shouldn’t work too…
– All a load of butter and simmer for another, shorter period (not quite sure what is optimum coz each batch is complety different, I used to do it for 10-20mins and stirring frequently)
– Strain the resulting mixture and throw away the solids
– Put the remaining liquid in the fridge overnight (otherwise the temptation to taste is too strong!)
– The next day, scoop the butter of the top of the water and use as you wish! Eat in sandwiches, use to make cakes, cookies or whatever takes your fancy… But DON’T eat it on it’s own, it doesn’t taste like you would want it to taste…
The idea is that the THC won’t disolve in water but will in fat (or alcohol) so while nothing good is wasted when you boil it all up, the butter comes and absorbs all that good stuff, neatly seperating it from the water.
I talk too much.

oh, cheers mate, i’ll tattoo a reminder onto the back of my hand- you never know your luck!
the info bout cookin was cool. i recon you wont need to use any water tho- just hash and butter would do it – the boiling bit is prolly just to wilt the leaves so they fit in. i recon the gear’s seen enough water for the mo… sounds like you will have a LOT of butter…
hopefully i’ll randomly bump into you befor echristmas on one of my random shouting missions. see you then!
I’ll look out for a guy with a silly tattoo on the back of his hand.
If I don’t use water, where’s all the salty badness gonna go?
In fact I’ve already started soaking it again to try and get some of the salty stuff out… Left it overnight but it still smells goddamn awful… 🙁
