I totally agree, theres a lot of talking going on, true I have only just joined this thread, but certain key decisions need to be made well ahead of time to insure the rest of the elements fall into place with more ease.

Surely a location should be decided first by everyone, impossible to please everyone but to be honest you WILL travel the distance if you consider it worth it, and thats down to personal opinion.

Once a location has been established then the route to licence can begin…

Once that has started we can then get a good idea of cost’s for the whole project…

If people are gonna winge and moan about distance/money bare this in mind, there is a strong chance this will take up to 3-6 months to organise, so time is on your side….

Cornwall /Devon, well I know from experience that land owners can be co-operative. But tis true this is a fair old distance far the northerners.

Midlands, true to its name it is central (well ish! ) – Ridgeway has been a constant success story for parties, it offers valleys to muff the sound, trees to conceal the lights and isnt too muddy !!!!

Well, i’ll follow this thread with enthusiasm….

Well i live in Edinburgh and Satyr and I are prepared to travel all the way down..

People will travel 100’s of miles for glastonbury and pay the earth for it.. this is going to be legal with loads of sound people and the chance to meet like minded people for £25.. i live probably the furthest away apart from Angel who is in another country…

There are far too many people that seem to think that free parties mean it doesn’t cost anything.. but for those that run it, its an expensive hobby…. this is a chance to have that free party atmosphere with out the on edge feelin that the police are gonna turn up and shut it down.. £25 per person is cheap an probably will be too cheap but its not a lot to ask so that all the facilities can be provided..

Lets just wait and see what happens.. Glo.. if u need any help shout and i totally echo what Raj said.. u don’t wanna pay.. fine don’t..

When i lived up north a couple of years ago i was on more money and living was cheaper I had a 3 bed house that i rented and paid the bills on my own, i also supported a girlfriend and her child.

back down south i cannot even afford to move out to a flat, even if i share 😥

sorry if i took your comment the wrong way, but sarcasm is impossible to interpret on the internet. i just know how hard it is to live in devon and provide for my family when i’m competing with a load of rich people from other parts of the country for a home in the place where i grew up. it ain’t fucking funny

right… back to the point of this thread.

i’m happy to put in what’s needed to make a legal event happen. i would organise an event with 2 top quality sound systems and a smaller chill out, in a nice location, in devon, with camping, cafe, bar, play area for kids

i want to do it, not for any personal gain , but just because i love a good party and want to meet other party vibers

i think devon is a good location because we have had some great events with TENs over the summer while other areas have blown it and are on lock down

i’m not prepared to do it outside the area i live in for loads of reasons, but basically; i don’t know the land, i don’t know the cops, i don’t know the licensing authority, i don’t have the time to travel all over the country, for free on wild goose chases to please people i don’t know

if i wanted to do a legal pay event outside devon i would make a packet and organise the glade… that is not what this event is about, for me

After a thought i think i might be able to be of more help than i thought for this………..

Food! I can actually do the food, i used to chef until a year ago. Did a few pubs so i am quite handy at the old pig/lamb roast BBQ…………

There must be other guys on here who can cook too, I have arranged the food for a a few beer festivals so if you do want a hand with that side of stuff i am here. ( sorry but i am shit at veggies so that would not be my department unless you like a lot of salad )

that sounds like a wicked offer

although, as i said earlier, a local farmer could be encouraged to let us on the land if they made money out of a cafe. not that i don’t want your help, just anticipating ways to get us on a nice farm

Cool a farmer supplies the food we ( me and help) cook it, Farmer makes his money with no effort, I charge naff all for my efforts. Also i might be able to get my hands on racking and cooling for 14 (maybe 24 cant remember of the top of me head) barrels of beer, however i ,ight need a hand transporting it down. (then again i know a few PV’ers locally who might chip together to there bit 😉

i am able to choose from any number of free parties….and whether its free or paid there will only be a certain no. of people here that will go… so having it illegal is not going to make it any more of a meet up than having it paid…

The reason this legal idea is so GOOD for DJs and Crews, is that it will be a LEGAL event – and if it goes well that is a publicisable feather in the cap of anyone involved… whether with artwork, music, organising….

As far as im concerned Im not taking my gear where it might risk being taken from me/and or destroyed…by shady people who’ve got free rein because theres no official security – or by the police….

if its illegal the crew have NO LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY TOWARDS ANYONE and, NO INSURANCE — and no requirement to even clean up..

Theres nothing to stop MR AHC doing his own partyvibe meet up, in the way he wants it….and for GLO to do his –

that was the whole point of applying for one, and the reason for certain restrictions…

maybe i’ve misread the situation, but any of us could throw a free party at any time as a partyvibe meetup, we could all travel from all over europe for it, and it could get locked down before we even started

for me partyvibe is about the people and the music.. if we can garantee that… then i’m up for putting massive amounts of my very valuable free time (and likely pissing of my family) into making it happen

if that’s not whats wanted, i’ll step aside (and someone should tell Rach to forget about the costumes)
