sorry if I highjacked your thread… we could meet up any weekend at any free party.

i jumped the gun and imagined an event with loads of different music without the soundclash or 50 people in front of each rig scenario, with food, bogs, camping… prolly cos i’m a bit long in the tooth and like to eat, shit and sleep (at least a bit) during any given 3 day period. also, if i’m gonna travel i want to know that it’s for something special and that isn’t gonna get closed down

whatever, it looks like your suggestion has kicked off a load of enthusiasm and a brand new event that’s a good thing

Hopefully by then me and some of my crew will have a massive rig together wihch we would be 100% up for putting in and setting up out own mini arena focusing on the harder side of free party styles! Its all about the WUmP WuMP!!!

Also should be heading down to the party at the weekend if what you other thread/e-mail said is true? I havnt been dissapointed with any of your partys but would like to see you take out something larger as you have done in the past!

When you consider the distance that some people are going to travel, Me for example i’d be coming from Edinburgh in Scotland, to come to a free party that runs the risk of being busted and being stranded somewhere unknown isn’t really a great idea..

To run a legal event it costs but £25 for a whole weekend isn’t steep at all, it’ll cover all the costs Glo said and ensure the land is cleaned up properly after it all..
Plus there’s the guarantee for those that are travelling 100’s of miles that we’ll be able to party all weekend.

yeh ive paid 5 times that amount for a weekend of music, the idea of 25quid with some wicked people, good music and a bit of security for the trek there sounds really spot on to me

and glo, im making the fancy dress costume plans already

that’s a great offer, thank you

but bear in mind, if people are in agreement with going for a TEN, we are looking at a private party with maximum 500 people.

personally, i would prefer to have the kind of vibe where there is one main dance stage (where all crews get to play a set over and represent) and one ‘alternative’ stage… maybe also a small chill out sound (with food & tea).

when there are loads of rigs, the crowd gets spread too thin.. when i started raving there was one rig and you are either there or you aren’t… for me that makes a much better atmosphere than when half the people are trudging between rigs that could all be playing similar music and there are a handful of people in front of each stack… one for all and all for one is my rule of thumb

what do others think?

i agree glo but gotta be a variety of music to suit all if we are goin for one main rig

the main benefit of more rigs is obviously variety to suit different tastes, but your rite, it does mean people are thinned out

that’s the benefit of having a TEN is that we get 3 nights… enough time to suit most tastes, surely?

i would like 2 stages of equal size (and a chill out) but any more than that and it could become ghettoised

i’m just getting excited about possibilities but it’s just ideas right now… everything is free
