unless you are thinking of getting a pel i think you may have ruined it

it would be a good idea to hide this thread just for members

a TEN (Temporary Event Notice) would mean that this is a licensed event, so no worries with publicising it

that was the whole point of applying for one, and the reason for certain restrictions…

maybe i’ve misread the situation, but any of us could throw a free party at any time as a partyvibe meetup, we could all travel from all over europe for it, and it could get locked down before we even started

for me partyvibe is about the people and the music.. if we can garantee that… then i’m up for putting massive amounts of my very valuable free time (and likely pissing of my family) into making it happen

if that’s not whats wanted, i’ll step aside (and someone should tell Rach to forget about the costumes)

what do you want out of a partyvibe meetup?

i’m just getting excited about possibilities but it’s just ideas right now… everything is free

If your going for a TEN you may as well get every rig thats reprisented on here to turn up so the rest of the users on here see what they do.
I offered our services and was told I wasnt needed apart from our marquees.

I’m not realy a party person anymore as I dont take drugs and drink at partys as I’m to old n burnt out. I still enjoy the music and what not but I’m usualy asleep by 2AM unless I’ve something to do.
What I get a buzz out of is seeing other people having a good time at events I’ve had a hand in putting on. If I’m to travel to Devon to put 2 marquees up I dont think its worth it.

we could do it that way. it would have to be planned carefully though, as on the license application you need an exact site map with locations all the equipment. any electrical equipment needs to be PAT tested etc.

well theres 3 potential organisers all wit slightly different ideas

i reckon discuss n compromise, a party organised by the rig owners of pv would be sound whatever

    As others have said,

the fact that we plan to travel hundreds of miles for a specific meet up- I’d like to be garanteed an event (legal),

and thank Glo and others for the offer of organising :bounce_p::bounce_p:

Personally i reckon £25 is a bit steep. I mean if everybody chips in what with stewarding, tidying up etc i cant see why we would need to raise that kind of cash (£12,500) unless its gonna be a commercial event. Id have thought all the cash thats really needed is to cover costs, rigs/toilets/labour etc. Also wouldnt getting the ten licence be the guarantee that the event wouldnt get busted not how much the entrance fee is. Another thing doesnt the ten enable you to sell beer, so money could be made back that way… My plan would be to have 3 smaller marquees rather than just one big fuck off one. Maybe.. 1,breaks/house, 2,psy/techno/(harder stuff) 3, reggae/chilled/live music. And a cafe/welfare/chill out area. (That way everyones catered for).Thats just what i reckon anyway… Ill gladly help whatever…

Also if your going down the legal road why just restrict it to Partyvibe people??
Between the rig owners on here there’s enough experience to organise a legal UKTEK.

as great as that sounds… you would take it away from being a partyvibe meet up and you’d have a uk-tek on your hands, whole different ball game

an event of that scale would be wicked, but would need a PEL. if you’d like to apply for a PEL, go for it. I don’t have the cash up front for that, or a location big enough in mind.

in my experience very few people chip in with stewarding / tidying up

3 marquees is gonna cost £3000+
generators and fuel for 3 days £700
toilets … recommended to have 1 for every ten people. £50 each so £2500 and if you want them emptied (which I would) that’s additional
expenses for rigs / sound engineers £600 for 3 rigs
    lighting rigs £1500
    hire of land £1000
    publicity / tickets / wristbands £1000
    hire of safety equipment £400
    skip / bin hire £700
    license application £21

that’s off the top of my head, but I based it on a one-day free festival i’m organising right now

that leaves £1100 if there’s nothing I’ve forgotten, and I’m sure I have. if there is any profit it will go back into the next event, to cost of the new partyvibe server or to charity. Raj could even publish accounts if no-one believes me

three stages would also be good, but will mean additional costs

would 500 ppl actually come to this tho, like i know my dads not really into the free party thang

definately. i think in the long run the party scene as a whole needs to be pushin for a compromise/legal event system, similair to what they did in france, i think thats what col is pushin for

but for this event, well, it’s supposed to be a pv meet-up, not a tek!

when you’ve got over 12,000 members on partyvibe i recon so

I think 5-6 systems is enough but I canny see this just being a Partyvibe thing?
