no gaspers for me either nor anything else other than booze since October (OK I did smoke one rollup after a stressful day but that has been it. Even spent the New Year sober as I wanted a few days off booze.

I did indeed look at a pipe from a “supplier of quality goods for gentlemen” based in Bungay (near where Biotech and Titch live) – a practical one with a steel stem like what JAck Schofield smokes – but decided against it for health reasons, I want another 40-50 years out of these insides and don’t want to end up in and out of hospital like my Dad did towards the end of his life.

I remember reading a website of a South African breeder of Siamese and Burmese cats.

He insisted his cats were well behaved and not normally destructive (he’s hardly going to say they are ASBO cats :laugh_at: ) , but every time he smoked in the house, they would jump up onto the worktops and dash the ashtray on to the floor (so his quiet smoke ended up in having to sweep up dog-ends and ashtray fragments).

After they smashed every ashtray in the house, and he ended up having to go outside to smoke, he decided that perhaps it was time he gave up smoking :laugh_at:
