  • ive been taking pills for about a year and a half and recently i’ve been having the most fucked up ‘dreams’ after taking them.

they always happen the first time i have a proper nights sleep (i.e. not on my m8s sofa). They’re always of somesort of ghost or demon (that i cant see) thats sometimes on top of me or im being beamed (not dragged) to some place, my eyes are open (i think) and it happens in my room, everything is so detailed and vivid that i feel as if its actually happeing and i can remember everything (i use the word dream but it really doesn’t feel like one). Im usually trying to fight whatever it is and eventually i wake up, but its weird because its as if its just happend and everything looks exactly the same as the ‘dream’, this usually happens twice in the night and after that (the next day/night) im fine. sometimes after the ghost/demon incident i have the vivid ‘dream’ experience again, but its ok coz it sometimes of my friends and i feel safe and its actually quite cool, but i just dont know why i always get these fucked up ones of a demon.

anyone have familar experiences and/or know what it could be?

well my boyfriends starts gettin nightmares wen he hasnt smoked in a while. well… a day or to ha

Ive also had some weird reality dreams after taking pills and even worse ones when taking acid kinda weird but never any demons

    this might be “sleep paralysis”

Ah i find after a big night on Manday or Beans i will have powerful dreams for a couple of days after….. I dont mind as i usually feel really refreshed after the dreams. Also have great memorys of them :weee:

For some reason when im trying to sleep after a pill sesh… i usally see fish heads and when i shut my eyes millions of squares start rushing to my face twisting and turning to force me to open my eyes…

Makes me laugh.. so i watch cartoons till i can force my self to sleep, magic roundabout usally does it :bounce_fl

Yes, as stated above, this is this “sleep paralysis”

I experience this a lot (more often when I was eating a lot of beanz).

It happend to me as a kid as well but I didn’t know what it was.

basically, you are awake, but you feel terrified. You try to move or even scream but it just doesn’t happen. Then sooner or later it fades away.

There is much more to this than just being paralyzed though. You can learn to use this to acheive out of body experiences.

The first OBE that i encountered with SP was when I was falling asleep, but I began to feel the feeling… I heard acid like sounduals and my body tingled. When I finally got there, I tried my hardest to keep my fear at bay. I didn’t try to move or get out of it.. just go with the flow. I began to float above my body. I saw my roof getting closer and closer. When I snapped out of it, I was back in my bed. This caused me to research what I experienced.

Since then, I’ve expereinced it on one occasion with my eyes closed. I felt an incredible ZOOMING feeling and I could see inside of a friends house (everything looked very psychedelic). Do some research.. It is very intriguing. The first step is to not be afraid (which is hard because the feeling is very scary). Let us know how it goes.

    Later.

cheers guys, all sounds quite positive then! ill try and turn it around from a negative in the future, bit difficult though coz the demon/ghost thing is a bit messed up but ill definately have a look into this outer body thing.

i’ve read that essay, when i have them i cant usually see the demon/ghost, the only time something has been visual is when i saw my friends. My curtains were parted a bit and i thought it was a doorway, and i could see two of my m8s through the door, one was smoking and could i see the smoke floating in the air, then one of them came walking though the door (my curtains) and past my bed but she was sort of floating and i pretended to be asleep! now that i think back to it, that one was pretty good!

Hi very interested in your experiences, I get this a lot, ever since I was 15 )(thats why i knew about it!) I didnt want to write about it before, in case I sounded a bit mad, but as you’ve had this too……

With me I have managed to learn to wake myself up, which is start wiggling a toe, then gradually i can move more and more – a couple of really awful times, Ive actually managed to open my eyes but have still been paralysed and not properly awake.

When it started there was also a sensation of pain, and then my mind seemed to be floating round my room. My boyfriend at the time said he saw me in his room once, then i turned and disappeared, but i put it down to him just dreaming about me. I certainly didnt recall being there! He told me to try to turn a light on next time it happened, but it never did again in quite the same way.

Shortly after that it changed to feeling there was a presence in the room, a black hole in the corner getting bigger and coming closer, and now many years on, its more often the feeling I must wake up because there is danger around me (someone trying to break in is a common one), or theres a problem with my breathing – but I have never gone with the feeling since those early experiences. The terror is just too much for me, its like your going to die if you dont wake up. Ive never had the feeling just “fade” like you have. Ive tried to relax into it a couple of times, but the terror just grows and grows.

Emotional upset & being over-tired will spark it off, but often it just seems to happen for no reason.

I’ve heard it called “devils grip” before, and thats what it feels like. Horrible!

I’ve had weird dreams like that before.

    It works on 2 levels:

    1. You tell whatever it is that’s bothering you to just GET LOST.. lt will just do a runner as it doesn’t like being confronted.

    2. You must become aware that you are not getting enough sleep, you are exhausted and that’s the root of the physical side of these problems.

Notice how E comes into it? You been staying up energising and raving, your brain needs some proper deep theta wave sleep or whatever you call it, proper R.E.M. sleep.
