brings global hope does that
“a nations people will judge you on what you build, not what you destroy”
“we will push for global peace through different instruments than weapons, and will talk to friend and foe”

Yeah fair play to Obama! :bounce_fl
He should paint the Whitehouse.
I’ve always thought it looked like a blank canvas.

sry to be sinicle .. but i have a fear that it’s the same retoric that is allways preasant with “up and coming leaders” as in promice the world and deliver considerably less … but i must admit it is hopefull … but then i guess thats what won him the votes, other than him being black, and without tring to sound rasist (an american friend of mine who is black explained this to me) alot of the black people in america don’t normaly vote … and all came out and voted for this one due to the guys ethnicity, he can deliver a good fucking speach and “work” crowds very well … (alltho all his speches are written by some one else .. and the one he made on the day he got made president was written by some one who was i think 21 .. dam good speach tho) i just “hope” (and that to me is a sign) that he is who and what he sais he is … but fear that if he is, some one will be pissed off and shoot him . i think he has alot to live up to especialy being the first african american to become president EVER! (not even england has had a black/asian leader).. if he fucks up it could severly mess up the equal opatunitys that could present them selves from this endever of his .. i hope for the sake of humanity he is a good guy with a strong head in order to NOT get woo’d or corupted by higher powers than himself .. (i fear all people of power are just puppets of people of higher power, people with fuck loads of cash and severe controll complexes, and he is just another new improved model.) …
well all i can say is .. we will see …
time will tell …
i am reserving jugement till then!
hope it’s all good tho !!!!!!! raaaraaa
I think Obama is a good guy. he comes across as one anyways.
He’s only been in power three days now and he’s already done a fair old bit already. Probably trying to reverse all the damage the BUSH has done! 😉

yeah even tho (and i am basing this on english leaders) people promis good things .. when they get into power it’s normaly strait away they start fucking things up .. so that is a good sign!
Thats English and might i add Scottish leaders for you. We need an Obama :laugh_at:
OBAMA FOR GOD? :weee:

Not Bush alone, but the damage that the American capitalistic greed and horrific foreign policy for the past 50 years has done… he’s already started the closure of Guantamino Bay (“we will not sacrifice our values and ideals in the name of protection”) and some of his economic policies are close to socialist (Old Labour-type thing) values.
I’m happy to see him in the white house but TBH I can’t help but think of him as “America’s Tony Blair”…
this isn’t as much of a condemnation as many may think as in his early days Blair did actually try to do some good – but a lot of his better progressive ideas were sabotaged and watered down by bitter people (some within his own govt ministries) angry that the people had wanted something progressive.
its not the “big” conspiracies like assasination attempts, or foreign terrorism that is the problem in many countries but often lower ranking staff in the public services and just normal people being stubborn…
remember the election results map, it still showed bitter division across the USA.
Blair’s govt in 1997 started off reducing a lot of criminal penalties (replacing them with community service), toyed with the idea of decriminalising drugs, also tried to push forward environmental protection legislation but was thwarted by a sustained and effective backlash from centre-right Middle Englanders and their media…. often using the same tactics of dissent, protest and direct action tactics the left had used from the 1960s to the 1990s….
