never found ne myself, infact, ive wasted alot of time and sleep the last few autumns trying.

gonna have a session this weekend wityh a few good mates tho if the weathers nice. never donw them in the day yet, hopefully should be good. im up for pushing a bit further this time, wanna see more than bendycarpets and faces!

transport problems, done fuck all all year and not got owt planned for anytime soon. its even looking unlikeyly that the leagle festival & portugal are off as well. due to the organisers of the festival possibly changing dates.

Im in nottingham and would be happy to come on a shroom hunt as it would be my first time and it seems like it helps alot to go with someone who knows what they are doing.

eat as your picking is always a good plan!! I would find that I would end up trying to sing my own version of “food glorious food”… something along the lines of…

Shrooms glorious shrooms,
eat raw or you can boil them,

At this point I would usually giggle like a little school girl whilst getting funny looks from the people out for a walk…

Oh I really need to find some shroom fields this autumn, I don’t fancy a trip to somerset or ripponden to go picking again :hopeless:

there used to be absolutely fucking loads of places in the 90s, not at all too far from you. Not sure what has happened, either they’ve all been rinsed (most likely) or some thing done to them to stop shrooms growing there – but I thought this was very difficult to do, maybe not?

To be honest I was just fecking lazy at looking, the fields I know in Somerset or Ripponden have loads… also people kept telling me around here is shit for them, maybe they want them for themselves :hopeless:

I picked a few fields in somerset completely on me tod for years but when the rave scene started everyone was suddenly stripping the fields bare on a sunday morning.
i think they did get rinsed to fuck because i havent really seen any srooms out there since.
Someone told me you’re supposed to snap the stem off half way down, leaving the base of the mushroom underground.
If you pull them all up i think that stops them reproducing (or something like that)
My other tip is to go out picking on a sunny afternoon. The shrooms are easier to see because they’re drier, making them white and easier to see.
