Also I thought that nausea occasionally happened with magic mushrooms? It’s an effect of the substance, not necessarily a contaminate.

Remember, people eat wild mushrooms all the time without boiling them, just with a simple wash (if that). You don’t have to boil carrots despite the fact they basically grow in shit :laugh_at:

when fresh i much prefer just to eat them…its when they are dried that i make tea :yakk:

i find i quite like the taste because i associate it with happy times … as is the case with other substances

Look boiling water dose lower the potency, its a well documented fact PM me your email and I will send you some scientific papers on the subject.

Granted they will still get you fucked but they will not be as potent.

Plus it’s wasteful, and unnecessary. If you were actually boiling it enough to sterilize it, you’d destroy all the psychoactive compound. Since you’re obviously not, you’re leaving some amount of the gunk you’re scared of on there anyway.

And since you need to take more of the reduced potency shrooms to get the same effect, you’re probably eating the same amount of gunk, you’re just wasting a bunch of perfectly good mind candy in the process.

Just eating them is the way forward! No messing about. I can’t say that I enjoy the tasty though. I don’t eat regular mushrooms at all.

The only time I make tea or coffee from them is when I’ve had a session on them the day before and then I really can’t stomach eating another load, it literally makes me heave to think about it, so in the pan they go.

They do well after a wetter summer but also like good drainage. I usually get a good yield on local hillside that are exposed but drain well.

Conditions have been close to right this week, but I bet it’s still too early to really see some. Still, I think I’ll do some hiking tomorrow to scout out some good south facing hills, maybe I’ll get very lucky 🙂
