the biggest irony of this thread is that shrooms were actually legal in the UK when it started in 2003, they were made illegal here in 2005!
they were openly sold at headshops – but unfortunately the younger teenagers started taking them at high school during class time, having “bad trips” or just behaving erattically and then being carted out of school by Ambulance. So all the Social Services, NHS and other “nanny state” agencies felt wholly justified in dealing with the situation and it ultimately led to mushrooms being made class A!
Can’t speak for other nations but sadly I think the populace of the UK are too fucking stupid and greedy to deal with legalised recreational drugs, and even the “better” European countries are going the other way. if they aren’t careful even booze will get ever more restricted too – it already has, I have to now carry a ID card to get it sometimes despite being legal drinking age for over two whole decades…
