didn’t know this cover version existed!
also a silly comedy “hardstyle” track made to take the mick out of Theo Brouwer at Agentschap Telecom
the lyrics are basically “hey brouwer, silly brouwer; you must not take my shit away, leave my equipment in peace”

this is Theo; he is based in Twente where everyone mocks him for his bald head (in a province where 90% of all men over 30 are equally bald)
there was another song mocking a dude in Groningen called Bé Muller but its sung in an even more obscure dialect and Bé has retired anyway; he sits at home and plays banjo and was putting his tunes on youtube; I think I scared him a bit by sending him a genuine compliment in Dutch about his music and that it was a better thing to do than close down pirates as he wasn’t expecting folk in England to know about his work and he apparently visits the UK on holiday to chill out (I’ve seen his linked in and he’s actually a decent chap)

Some random oompah music and other piratenliedjes that are being broadcast across some woods in Groningen on a hidden FM transmitter that are being streamed on the geheimezender website (I am sure some of the middleaged Dutch dudes are stocked up with bier wiet, amfet and gin and having a stealth party in some barn 🙂
tracked this down (its about a cross border holiday romance but the lad only goes a few km East) – though I get the impression that Ursula is a bit older than him as its not so common a name nowadays – it is an ancient Germanic name which means “like a she-bear” [which is not uncomplimentary given the good parenting skills of the European brown bear, but I’ve not met many women below age 60 with such a given name]
